a bubble

A suspended kinetic sculpture that invites visitors to lie beneath A Bubble that moves through the water column and beyond. The bubble moves up and down according to live buoy data from the adriatic sea. Coupled to the bubbles position, sections of a 3D model based on Gaussian splats recorded during a field trip to the Bay of Valsaline in Croatia are projected onto the tranlucent skin of the scuplture. A spatial audio soundscape comprised of field recordings bring the visitor under water and enables them to breathe freely underwater.
